Douglas Vermeeren added to the cast of THE BOY FROM BELOW

Douglas Vermeeren has been added to the cast of the Horror movie The Boy From Below. There’s no news yet on the character he is portraying but Rue Morgue recently released a synopsis of the story. Along side Douglas Vermeeren the film features Dee Wallace (E.T., Cujo, The Howling), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Leah Voysey (Terrifier 2), Richie Ramones (The Ramones) and others.

Vermeeren is well known for the horror anthology film Tenants and the upcoming western film Black Creek. Recently he won Best Supporting Actor for his role as Leonard in Tenants.

TENANTS premieres to a SOLD OUT crowd at the LA Film Festival

The new Horror Anthology featuring Mary O’Neil, Douglas Vermeeren, Rib Hills, Clarke Wolfe, Myles Cranford, Tara Erickson, Ivan Djurovic, Wayne Sanchez, Miranda Cover and others has just premiered at the LA FILM FESTIVAL. The film premiered to a sold out audience and the reviews were wonderful. The film film featured the interpretation of several directors – each one taking on a particular story within the Anthology.

The film features everything from the startling stories of the strange, haunting and gruesome to situations that are downright comical. The LA Film Festival awarded the film with BEST HORROR ANTHOLOGY. Written by Mary O’neil, Buz Wallick and Sean Mesler the film seems to break many of the conventional rules of an anthology like Creepshow, Twilight Zone the movie, Stephen King’s Cat’s Eye or others. Rather than having a narrator or host introduce each segments there is actually an intriguing story that holds the narrative together.

Prior to the screening of the film audience members had a chance to meet the stars of the film who walked the red carpet to celebrate the release of the film.

TENANTS will also feature at the LA Crime and Horror film festival November 25 -26, 2023.
