Douglas Vermeeren announces new Brand and seminar series

unspecified
A lot of people have been writing in to me about my recent posts around the BAM movement. (Be Awesome Movement) The comments have been encouraging and exciting. I have received several comments asking specifically why I don’t share more of these ideas in my seminars. The truth is that I used to. In fact, these are the kinds of things that I taught when I first started in personal development and I loved it. I felt these lessons really made a difference in the lives of those I was teaching and it made me feel good to help so many people on a personal level.

I kind of gravitated away from this over time because most event organizers wanted me to teach about some of the successes I was having in business and financially. I like teaching those things too and I probably still will from time to time.

But today I would like to announce that I am introducing my new brand PERSONAL POWER MASTERY. The tools included in the initial program will share strategies on how to:

Create a more inspiring life
Make more effective decisions
Get those decisions to stick when things in your life are difficult
Overcome limiting beliefs permanently
The true way goals are set and achieved (Which surprisingly I haven’t found anyone teaching yet.)
Set up effective boundaries to stay positive in a negative world
Create more abundance in your life
Improve your relationships at business and at home
Take charge of your situation and create the results you want in all areas of your life
Recognize how your thoughts are becoming things
What the law of probability is and how is changes everything
Why top achievers success where others failure

And much more.

And that is what I’m choosing to focus on in level 1. I am excited about this content because I know from experience with past student – IT IS LIFE CHANGING!

As a result of this material:
I have a student who repaired a relationship that was destined for divorce.
I have a student lose close to 200 pounds and keep it off.
I have a student who developed a 6 figure business directly coming out of a bankruptcy.
I have a student who immediately increased his sales closing rate by 65%
I have a student who overcame substance addictions and suicidal thoughts
I have a student who grew his client list to the extent where he received two massive promotions in three months.

unspecified-1

There have been so many success stories with this material. It is unique and powerful. It will change your life too.

My invitation to you is to register for a personal power event in your city and come and learn for yourself. I look forward to meeting you soon!

How Thoughts Become Things – Special Edition Advance Book!

The edition will feature exclusive information that will not be available in future editions including an exclusive Audio Cd on “The 5 Ways your brain learns and 3 keys to mastery with any goal.”

The idea that ‘Thoughts become Things’ has been around a long time. What has been missing are the answers as to ‘How.’  For the first time ever in this cutting-edge book, How Thoughts Become Things, Douglas Vermeeren unfolds the process, systems and activities the brain uses to create your most powerful thoughts. Modern scientific research has given us incredible insights into the brain science that creates our realities.  By applying the processes of how your brain and your thoughts work you are able to harness a greater power to overcome negative thinking, self sabotaging behaviour and accomplish your greatest tasks.

When NLP was designed in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, the personal development industry saw a shift in the way looked at thought processes and success. Since then drastic changes have been developed in our understanding of how the brain works. In fact, more than 98% of what we thought we knew about the brain has changed in the last decade.

Utilizing the most recent findings in neuroscience, psychology and Vermeeren’s exclusive research into the lives of more than 400 of the world’s top achievers this book will give you to insights on how to create powerful results in your life. It is not written to the scientific audience, but rather for easy application by anyone. The book also incorporates a new learning technology known as Pattern Priming which allows for maximum learning and application.

Participants in ‘The Neuroscience of Success’ live programs have said the following:

” As a person that has been working really hard in personal development I found so many things that I had never thought before. so many things that I have already applied. I can’t say enough about what I’ve learned and what I’m going to talk away from this program” – Jaeson Rau

“One of the most powerful lessons was even within the first few minutes.” – Patrick Buffalo

“When somebody sees that they can actually change their lives, you actually have all the tools for them to be able to do it.” – Guy Burns

“What can I say about the Neuroscience of Success course? I found it incredible beneficial!” – Lorna Selig

“I know have a lot clearer understanding of the brain and how it works. I can see examples everywhere of how I’ve allowed my thoughts to control my actions.” – David Bonk

“I’ve been able to now see how many negative thoughts we have going through our mind every single day. The awareness and now 5 steps to work through those negative thoughts. I can now move forward.” – Cherise Gosselin

“The information presented in The Neuroscience of Success was incredibly useful and interesting. The other thing I really liked was that we were given actually exercises that we can use.” – Lisa Ryan

“The most powerful thing for me was when you talked about stilling the pond and the Ripple Effect.” – Jaime Bonk

“One of the most valuable things to me was learning about cognitive evaluation, and how you can use it to evaluate each thought to see if it is negative or positive and use that to clear out the negative.” – Carlene Bennett

“I now know how negative thoughts happen and the steps that I can take to get rid of them.” –  Heather Betlamini

“I enjoyed learning the whole perspective of the law of attraction, and lookign at it in a different way. The patterning of your brain and  mind and putting it to work in making thoughts become things. I learnt a lot.” Jillanna Martel

Can a single word create Greater Success?

with 2 comments

Can you keep the secret of success a secret?

Can you keep the secret of success a secret?

By Douglas Vermeeren

Our words are one of the most powerful tools we have to convey our wants, desires, motives, intentions and expectations. Our words are more powerful than we give them credit for. Our words are responsible for much of our thought construction.

Rudyard Kipling, Author of the famous book, “The Jungle Book” once said, “Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind.” When we think of the word drug we think of a substance that is used to alter states and create certain feelings within the body. When we approach the definition of drug in that way, words certainly qualify.

They can inspire us, cause us to feel loved, bring out the best in our actions and help us discover parts of ourselves we never knew we had. They can also create an opposite effect that limits us as well.

You’ve probably heard that what we talk about comes about. When we are engaged in conversations with others the words they use can tell us what  to expect and what another person is feeling inside.

Our words and the language that we use are symbolic representations of things or ideas in the tangible real world. When we think on these words or use them in our speech they activate specific areas in our brain that creates recall or recognition of the symbols those words represent. Based on our past experience with the specific thing or activity the word represents energies or charges are activated, or rather conditioned to activate when we interact with the word symbol.

These charges will either be positive or negative. (Not electrical necessarily – but of an emotional quality, either positive or negative.)This makes some words empowering to us and other words cause us to doubt, become fearful and even become offended when they are emotionally activated. When we attempt to process our thoughts in such an emotionally charged environment they are affected. (More on this phenomenon called, ‘Affect Illusion’ another time.) Depending on the emotion environment the thoughts nurtured in will often determine the end results they will produce.

Positive thoughts which increase our belief in ourselves immediately allow us to expand in our view and look for greater possibilities. On the other hand thoughts which limit us, make us afraid or cause us to doubt constrict our thoughts.

Our brain are wired to solve problems or escape danger. Even simple words which activate the state of fear, doubt, threat or containment requires our brain to seek a way to protect ourselves or escape. This survival instinct causes us to focus on that negative  energy until the energy dissipates, we escape or it is replaced by something more powerful.

An Experiment on the Energy of Words

Read the following two lists of words below for an experiment. Read them out loud. Read slowly and pay careful attention to the first images that come into your mind and how they make you feel. Let your brain find an image that corresponds to each word. Make the image vivid enough to feel the emotions your brain attaches them to. As you feel this energy ask: Are the words positive and empowering or do they cause negative emotions within you and cause you to feel contracted? Here’s the list:

Disgusting

Tragedy

Dirty

Vomit

Sorrow

Carnage

Pain

Fall

Regret

Wounded

Stench

Fail

Broken

Rude

Liar

Cruel

Did you feel a negative energy begin to circulate within your thoughts as your brain sought for recall or recognition of the symbol the word represented?

Let’s try another list of words, this time more positive.

Again remember to let your brain seek for the  images in your mind that you associate with these words. Make these images vivid, bright and real. Feel after the the emotions these images begin to plant within you. Read them slowly and out load. Here’s teh second list:

Joy

Love

Precious

Kind

Unstoppable

Caring

Hopeful

Expanding

Tranquil

Affection

Delicious

Clear

Harmonious

Strengthening

Comfort

Generosity

Friendship

What was the difference in the emotion, images, thoughts and feelings that these words created within you?

The energy that positive words ignite is undeniable and they have a profound effect on our thinking and behavior.

This isn’t really anything new, the earliest recordings of someone utilizing ‘The Power of Suggestion’ or words as Psychosomatic medicine date back to 934 AD.  The principles are explained by simply recognizing the mind is influenced by the words it hears, reads and considers.  Modern psychosomatic medicine regularly uses linguistic suggestion to create positive results in patients. What we suggest to the mind (most often by words) causes the mind to construct the reality internally and externally. The entire efforts of hypnotism rests on the power of suggestion.

In more modern times other systems have been developed to expand our view on the relationship between cognition, behavior, tangible result and our words and language. NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) developed in the 1970’s  by Richard Bandler and John Grinder established connections between our neurology, our language and our behavior patterns.

Through understanding these principles and several new other discoveries I have personally developed systems that are producing great results for people. Strategic Cognitive Construction (SCC) and The Ripple Effect are two specifically which accelerate the process of creating tangible realities from the things we think about using the power of linguistics.*

Through all these discoveries one thing becomes very clear.  Our words and language do play a significant role in our thinking processes.  To create great successes in our lives we need to harness the power of being more careful with the words we are using and accepting as truth when we consider our dreams.

Douglas Vermeeren is the director of the SUCCEED Research Center which is dedicated to sharing research on the systems that top achievers use to create lasting success. Over the last decade Vermeeren has interviewed more than 400 of the world’s top achievers, including business leaders, celebrities and professional or Olympic athletes. Douglas Vermeeren is the author of Guerrilla Achiever (With Jay Levinson) and the creator of The Opus (with Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Dr. Joe Vitale, Dr. John Demartini, Dr. Sue Morter, Marci Shimoff, Bill Bartmann, Bob Doyle and Morris Goodman.)
